Payton

The big news from Oklahoma City is that I finally got Nicole her Christmas present... A puppy! She has been wanting a Shiba Inu forever and we finally decided this was a good time. We picked her up a week ago and she has been running our lives ever since. She is a great puppy but like most puppy she doesn't listen to us all the time yet.

We named her Payton after Sonics legend Gary Payton. Nicole's family use to have a tradition of naming their dogs after Sonics (Gus and Spencer) and I was the first to vote that we carry on that tradition!

We just got back from the Oklahoma/Nebraska basketball game down in Norman with our friends George and Brandi which was a fun experience. I'm excited for tomorrow night because they are showing the UW/USC game locally here... Might be my one and only chance to see the Huskies this season.

No Thunder games this week but we have two next week and three the following week. Busy, busy.

It's been a while...

So I've heard that I'm the worst blogger since I don't actually post anything on my site. Maybe my New Year's resolution will be keeping this this blog more up to date.

Now that we are 2 months into the season, we are finding more time to enjoy life outside of the office. I have been very busy with all of our Holiday events and they were all a huge success. We did everything from rewarding kids for good attendance in school, to feeding kids who's parents are in Iraq, providing turkeys to families at Thanksgiving to hosting food and toy drives at our home games. The picture attached shows Kevin Durant taking a young kid around Target as part of our Shopping Spree event where the players bought under-privileged families a $1,000 gift card and took them shopping. It's always great to see the players off the court giving back... These are the type of events that makes my job fun!

I did make it back to Seattle for 5 days for Christmas but I was snowed in for most of the trip and didn't get out as much as I would have liked. It was great to see family and spend time in Seattle none the less.

We rang in the New Year at Damien Wilkins party at the Convention Center after a big win over the Golden State Warriors. It was only our 4th win of the season but the guys are playing a lot better recently and hopefully we start seeing results.

Today, Nicole and I drove northeast about 100 miles to Tulsa and toured around town. I was surprised how big of a city Tulsa is! It almost felt bigger than Oklahoma City. We found the fairgrounds where the Tulsa Drillers (the Double-A baseball affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) play and next to the stadium was this HUGE statue of a Driller. We couldn't pass up this photo opportunity.

Please check back soon... I will be updating this more often that not.
